Pioneer in integrative cancer medicine
Dr. Joseph Brenner is the pioneer of integrative cancer treatment in Israel. As a world-renowned oncologist, his experience has been amassed over three decades, during which he treated many patients with various types of cancer. About two decades ago, Dr. Brenner became interested in the field of complementary-alternative medicine. He traveled to East Asia, Europe and the United States to gain insight into the field, attending conferences and visiting clinics focused on integrative cancer therapy.
The way of an oncologist
Dr. Brenner graduated from the School of Medicine in Tel Aviv University. Upon his graduation, he specialized in internal medicine and later in Oncology at the Sheba Medical Center at Tel Ha’shomer. Later, he completed a full fellowship in medical hematology-oncology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, one of the largest cancer centers in the world, as well as in radiotherapy at the Rhode Island Hospital – Brown University. When he returned to Israel, he accepted an offer to establish an oncology institute and department at the Wolfson Medical Center where he served as director for many years. Today, Dr. Brenner is the director of oncology at the medical tourism unit at the hospital.
Specializing in integrative cancer medicine
In the 1990s, Dr. Brenner began specializing in different methods of alternative-complementary medicine and integrative cancer treatment, acquiring the knowledge and equipment necessary to provide these treatments. Today, the New-Hope clinic offers treatments, including hyperthermia treatments, using some of the world’s most advanced equipment.
Dr. Brenner continues to visit integrative cancer centers in Europe and America where he is invited to lecture and consult.
In the thick and at the heart of things
Dr. Joseph Brenner often lectures at international conferences in the field of integrative cancer therapy. He is a member of the most important oncology organizations (such as ASCO) as well as organizations for alternative medicine and integrative cancer medicine in Israel and worldwide.
Today, Dr. Brenner serves as the president of the International Clinical Hyperthermia Society (ICHS).
Dr. Brenner has published over 40 articles in the field of cancer medicine to date.
